Blue Marble Company Website (2021)

This is an example of my ability to create a responsive website using HTML, CSS3, PHP, and Javascript.

OVERVIEW

This company website is build to inform clinicians about Blue Marble Health’s programs and services. It highlights the apps that we’ve build, how they connect with the clinician website. It also gives an overview of all the research projects that the company has been a part of, and lists several of the organizations that we’ve partnered with over the years.

Responsive Web Design

I developed the website to have modern responsive web design features. The site adapts its elements to fit the screen size being used. There’s a mobile friendly version as well as a few stages of adaptation between a full screen mode and a minimal/compressed window mode.

The clearest example of this is to look at the example below and notice how the full-screen version uses a horizontal menu bar for navigation, whereas the mobile version uses a single dropdown menu. Also notice how the images and text are rearranged of the different modes.

CONTACT PAGE

The website also features a Contact page where potential clients can submit a message to our sales team. It’s build using Javascript which records the data entered and sends it to a company email where it can be reviewed.

LOCALIZATION

Given my recent experience with setting up Health in Motion with localization functionality (English and Spanish modes), I built the website to also be able to able to have that functionality. This included a drop-down menu to select English or Spanish. However, because of time-constraints, we wouldn’t be able to keep the Spanish version of the text updated as we made changes to the English text; so the language drop-down menu was disabled.
